At the end of the fabric for the seats, there will be plastic strips that get sewn to the material. You use the hog rings to punch a hole through the plastic and grabe the frame underneath the padding to hold the covers in place.

Like stated, if you do it yourself, when you take it apart, make your pattern a little bit smaller to account for the stretching to the original material. I found the easiest way was once I had one side attached to my center, to set the pieces over the foam and see where I needed to stitch the opposite side so that it would fit properly. There's nothing I hate more in an interior than seats with excessive fabric, or bunching in the stitching due to people rushing it and twisiting the fabric too fast. They stand out and just make it look half assed.

any suggestions on fabric? i dont want tweed and im not sure how hard suede is to clean.

tweed is junk and i am not a fan of sewing suede, It does not wear well and gets dirty quick, best bet is a high quality vinyl like a ultra leatheror spring for leather

do your own seats! it's not that hard if you take your time. pull the covers off of frame and mark all panels of seat with chalk connecting each panel with a chalk mark. razor blade old stiching between panels and lay old panels flat on your new upholstery. factory panels have several triangels cut out around panel for line up reason . get your self the same amount of 1/2in backed foam to glue material to and start sewing . connecting the small triangles as you go.-have fun-

I always liked these:

about $600 pr for the foam and seat frames. You have to cover yourself (I believe they come with patterns though) or you can have them cover them for you.
