So I ordered what I thought was the right tamper resistant torx driver from Snap-on to take my horn pad off of my 97 HB but it is waaaaay too small. I ordered a t50. Does anyone know what the correct one is or better yet what the part number is? Thanks

is this the torx head bolt with the stud in the middle of the star? You need a torx head with a hole in the middle, right? I helped my buddy take off his horn pad and airbag in his 99 frontier, we just used a small drillbit to drill down the stud, then use a regular torx head. Unless you're planning on putting it back in. Then i can't help, sorry. I was surprised, even if the drillbit got into the grooves a little, there was more than enough left to spin the head easily. ALso helps to hold a shopvac nozzle by the drillbit, much easier to clean up, lol. Hope this helps.

Yeah the bit has a hole in the middle to fit over that pin and I need to reuse the bolts so I don't want to drill them out. Thanks anyway.

or just get ahold of the correct size regular torques bit and drill a little indention into it to go over the pin in the bolt that our needing to take out.... INSTANT TAMPER RESISTANT TORQUES DRIVER! i understand you already have the set and are just looking for a bigger one, but maybe this idea might be easier than placing an order somewhere.

hope it works!

prob a t55, i dont think they make a t60 tamperproof bit. it goes up to t100 as far as torx tho...

yeah, 97xenissan you're absolutely right. When I saw how small the driver looked and how big the bolt looked I thought "no way". But it is a t50 so thanks for the info.
