Flaming River has a fully functioning tilt column that is only 7.5" long. You can mount it where you need to and just run a steering shaft to your box. It's what we used on the Chevelle in my profile.

i havent b\d a max but i ahve one and did consider it till i saw where the steering box is.....just so you guys that are questioning it know the steering box for the max\d50 is right outside the firewall on TOP on the frame rail....so if you b\d there is a good possibility for binding especially with the distance he went.....i would look into the flaming river columns then just modify your firewall to fit....may adjust the angle of the wheel but shouldn's move it into the dash at all

Yeah I know where the steering box is. I'm working on one that is rockered. I'm just wondering why the steering wheel got closer to the glass. Generally the whole column drops with the dash when you do a BD.

maybe they did a traditional and cut the firewall above the steering column?

sorry i meant the wheel came back about two inches but im gonna by the u joints from flaming river and make a 2 piece one like the s 10s but thank u as far as a booster u can do away with it and just have non power brakes which is totally worth it considering how much these trucks dont weigh
