What are normal brake lines made of? Any one know what tools I need?

Regular automotive brake line is mild steel. To make new lines you will need a bending tool and a flaring tool along with the line and proper fittings for your truck. You can get the flaring and bending tools on the loan-a-tool program from most auto parts stores if you don't already have them and don't want to fork over the cash to purchase them. The Eastwood company has a good selection of line tools if you're looking to buy them. You can also check out Made for You products for some nice nylon line clamps to hold your new lines to your rails when your done. If you're new to the game it may take a few tries to get good results, don't give up though, it is worth it to scrap a few pieces of line to get "the look" you want.

you can buy the steel line on a roll from a body shop supply store. or some european car companies use a soft non-ferous line that bends really easy. Its used on audis i beleive because there are certain countires in europe that do not allow steel brake lines because they rust out. you could try that if your willing to spend a little extra.

i used stainless hardlines for the brakes and stainless braided for the fuel with -6 AN fittings. You can get sticks of the regular brake lines at NAPA.
