ive got a 78 toyota. its a normal style front suspension. i want to run coilovers and drop spindles. they dont make them for my year. plus, i have tiny little brakes. and its getting time to replace all of the stuff up front. id like to run the bigger 89-95 brakes with 95 4runner 4 piston calipers. and more than likely on a drop spindle. so, here is where you guys come in. id love it if somebody with stock and somebody with drop spindles can get a few measurements from them for me.

top of the upper balljoint pad to the bottom of the lower balljoint pad.the thickness of each pad. whether each balljoint comes in from the top or bottom of the pad. the distance from the centerline between the balljoints to the tie rod end pad, in the middle of the hole. the distance from the centerline between the balljoints to the brake rotor's wheel mounting face.brand of drop spindle, because i dont know if anything slightly changes from year to year.

that should be all i need. thanks people. i really appreciate the help.

I hadn't replied yet because I'm really bad at remembering to do these types of things, and I didn't want to get your hopes up too soon. But I have both stock and Belltech drop spindles at the shop. I can measure everything but to the hub surface because I don't have any hubs right now.

thats fine. can you measure to the inner wheel bearing race area in a spot that would verify if the drop versions push the wheels out at all. thats why i had that in there. would change the offset i need. and im already runnin a +40 on a 7".
