letter from landspeed record holder *good read*

we recently got a response letter printed in the seattle weekly newspaper from the current world landspeed record holder about out attempt to beat his record (763 mph). i thought i'd share it with you to show how our sport should act toward each other. we're trying to "steal his thunder" & Andy Green is not only excited about our attempt, but highly encourages it! no jealousy or anything! i hope this is an inspiration for all of you...

also i don't mean for this to be another one of these "the scene is dying" threads. i just thought i'd share the correspondance between us in regards to the fact that we're literally challenging him & yet we're able to not only act civil toward each other, but encourage it! & this even goes across oceans, so what's so hard about encouraging our "new" guys to the sport of mini truckin'??????
