I'm getting tired of replacing my nitro tank every month or two and thinking about getting a compressor and tank. Was wondering which Viair would be best in a single compressor setup? And will it work o.k. with my stock battery, or should I add another battery?

I don't run over 120 psi in my system, and have 1/2" valves.

the 450 is nice...i run it on my truck and it runs up to 150 psi....depending on the storage u have, it takes mine like 5 minutes to fill from 60 psi to 150 psi....

yea i would run 2 compressors. there is nothing worse than waiting on air. i have two 480's and i dont run out.

I'm just trying to keep costs down, because I'm currently selling the truck. But where I've got my bottle mounted, it's a bitch to put in and out.

What's better, more storage or more compressor?

I got two 480's and one 5 gallon tank and I dont run outta air, but I dont play with the switches much either.

I would have to agree that the viar 450 is a good all around compressor. I do think you should run 2 though just in case one would burn up for some reason. You could go get your tank filled one more time, get the 450, and run you a valve so that you can switch it over if you need to. I run an air Zenith on mine and I love it. But its all about personal oppinion

I also want to keep my bottle when I sell the truck, I got it for free and a new one is $250. I plan on putting a welder in my garage and will need the bottle for that.

I found a guy on egay that is selling a 500c wanna be for a good price, thinking about that. He has good feedback and looks like he's a minitrucker as well.

My other question is: do you guys run a single water trap that feeds all of your valves, or do you run more than one trap?

Also, will my under hood battery be good enough for one compressor?
