Selling my 2010 5.3L with 6l80e to fund my cummins swap, been reading a lot about the swap I know its a tight fit however I know there are bagged duallys that are body dropped running 6BTs obviously you need to cut out the factory motor mounts but most kits call for a 3" body lift to fit the motor in the bay and get Clarence on the trans tunnel. Obviously the pinch weld needs to be grinded out and smoothed on the trans tunnel for extra Clearence. I'm also reading that the IFS becomes an issue with hitting the side of the block on the cummins. Anyone on here have the swap without going with a custom chassis? Just looking for more information... Possibly a sticky on this type of swap.
