speaker acting up...

I have two 6 1/2" 3 way speakers in my truck running off a small amp. one speaker is going in and out. sometimes is won't work for a couple days and then i hit a bump in the road and it will come on. it has also started making a crackling sound every once in a while. all the connections look fine. has the speaker gone bad? or is it in the amp? anyone had this happen before?

Try switching the speaker wire connection at the amp. By doing this you can see if its the amp because say if you left speaker was doing it aand you switch the right is then you know the amp is causing the problems. If it still the same speaker I would say it that speaker going out.
