Well I was on my way home from work and out of nowhere my sub amp went up in smoke. Just wondering if anyone may know what could have been the cause and would it be worth fixing? BTW it`s a Solid Audio F15D.

The problem is at top left

In case it may help determine why my amp did this, here`s a pic of how the settings were when it went up. BTW, the gain looks all the way up, but its really like 3/8`s up. Thanks

those are the transistors, you can replace them. They should only cost around $2 each at an electronics supply store. But if your not very good at soldering, then I would just take it into a pro. It shouldnt cost more than $100.

Bad airflow, heat, etc....can all be a part of this, aswell as over working it.

id throw it away... they never work the same after they have been repaired... just buy a new better quality amp
