HIDS on a silverado

Well my buddy just bought a 97 acura Integra and the low beams on the car and my silverado use 9006 bulbs and he has a plug & play HID kit so I pulled it off his car and plugged it up to my truck and couldnt get the kit to work, It plugs in and works in his car and my factory light bulbs work on his car, What am I missing

THERE IS PROBABLY A VOLTAGE ISSUE. I HAD TO USE RELAYS INLINE IN MY 12V WIRE GOING TO THE BALLAST ON MY KIT. USE THE RELAY TO INCREASE THE VOLTAGE SUPPLIED TO THE BALLAST.

i know this sounds dumb but.... flip the plug.... ( like put it backwards) i did that to mine on my 06 CC... should work

Hey man i had hids on my toyota and to get the lowers to work i had to move the wires around to a different spot within the plug. Take a small screw driver and move the prong holding the wire in and it just pulls out of plug. I to do this a few times to get them to work. Hope this helps sry i dont have any pics.

Oh ya I forgot. When my kit came in the wires were backwards. I had to cut the plug wires and switch them with relays. Good thinkin Joel.

apreciate all the info!!!! Has anybody had any problems with the cheaper kits on ebay, The sellers all have good history for the most part but all the kit under 100 bucks shit or what????

i bought some from HIDgate, put them on my bagged sierra but were too damn bright to leave on there so i put them on my 300 and havent had any problems in 2 months. Paid 58 shipped

I have one of the cheap ebay kits and it works for the most part, but I sometimes have to turn the lights on and off a few times for both sides to come on at first start up.
