i noticed now that its gotten cooler outside my truck is harder to start up and i'm sure its got to do with the carb not being adjusted right. i've heard you have to adjust weber carbs for the winter. anyone have the same issue or suggestions? any help will be appreciated.

What kind of choke and is it hooked up?

electric choke and yeah.

hmmm, does your starting ritual include a couple of pumps then pressing the petal all of the way to the floor and releasing at a moderate speed (not a slap)?

oh, I would go ahead and put the test light on the choke lead just to make sure that it was getting power.

nah, the ritual is more like: crank the truck while pressing the gas numerous times and hope it stays cranked; if it doesn't, i try again. only does it in the morning when its the coldest, but its getting colder so i thought i'd go ahead and try to see what i could do before it gets colder weather.

try my method, once you have your foot off the gas, leave it. Watch it though if you leave it to warm up, as my webber liked to increase the speed gradually until the truck was at full throttle, tap the gas to have it return to normal idle speed.

with an electric choke you should turn the key the the "on" position first(so the choke gets power), then tap the gas pedal. Then turn it to "start" That helped me tremendously in the winter with mine.

tried doin both of the suggestions and neither of them really work. i think my carb needs to be adjusted for the weather. i've heard you have to do that with the webers.
