hey guys I just got a 1988 toyota pickup and I've been looking for a few things for it but can't seem to find. I'm looking for some tail lights either euro or all clear and a phantom grille but I can't find it for my truck. Will the phantom grille for the 89-95 body style fit on mine? I was also wondering if anyone knows what nice looking stock wheels would fit my truck. I want to find some 16's or 17's stocks that would fit it. any info is greatly appreciated. thanks.

as far as stock wheels go, i've always liked a few styles of mustang & lexus rims. i've heard a lot of people say that they can't find phantoms anymore, so i guess ebay or craigslist. i'm a little confused about your year questions though. the post title says 88 taillights, then you said you have an 89 & you're asking if 89 shit will fit your truck? if it's a typo & you have an 88, then no, 89-95 tails won't fit w/o bodywork...

if you have an 89, then obviously 89-95 tails will work.

hope that didn't sound rude. good luck

Toyota trucks have the best/most common lug pattern ever...its a 5x114.3 &
its used on Lexus, most Ford cars & trucks, Mitsubishi, Cadillac & the list
goes on. I myself have had Probe GT rims, Nissan 300Z & Cadillac STS factory wheels.

thanks Corey for pointing that out I didn't notice when I posted that I put the wrong year. Thanks for the suggestion on wheels I didn't know that there so many wheels other than Lexus that would fit my truck.

a lot of "stock" wheels will not just bolt right up. Taking them to your local machine shop to have them bored is your best option as the trucks center bore is larger than most cars of today. The grease cap will keep you from setting the front wheels flush on the hubs. Rears may need a VERY little shaven off, my probes went on with a few rounds with the air die grinder or whatever.
