Upholstry? Paint?

I'm making my dash, probably the door panels too out of sheetmetal. Its going to be smooth with a strip of curly maple across the middle with cutouts for the gauges and my headunit. When I get to it in a month or two, what does everyone think about covering/painting it? I'm NOT going to paint it to match the truck. I'm driving it to Louisville to get it painted a Porsche Carerra 4S dark silver color and i'll be rockin black primer for a while, and taking the dash out to paint it after a screen, gauges, and everything is in is just unnecessary to do what most people with sheetmetal interiors do. I'm considering leather (tan or black), or maybe designer fabric as long as it doesnt look overly homo. Any suggestions? Anybody know a good place online to order a few yards of something to cover it?

well in my oppinion that all depends if your buildin a trailor queen or a daily driver. i know a few people that have daily drivers with painted dashes and when the sun hits it it blinds him.

Thats another thing i dont want. I would never build a trailer queen, its layin body on 20s but itll be my daily when the weather permits. I have a 200sx to drive around but when I can drive my zoo, why not. Leather cracks too, so I'm stuck
