I know the re-7s im running up front will be better than the re-6s I originally got, and now I'm contemplating re-8s in the back. On cheap 7-inch chassis tech bags, we mocked up my cantilever setup today and I get 11 inches of lift with 50psi. My question is, what would the advantage of re-8s over re-7s in the rear? I have to get 2 more bags since I'm not using the re-6s (if anyone wants them theyr brand new, stickers and all, and ill let them go cheaper than I got them for even tho i havent done anything with them but put them in the attic with the rest of my interior and assorted parts.)

Well if you are getting 11 inches at 50 PSI, an RE8 would probably do 11 inches at about 20-25 PSI. Which means it will be a pretty damn soft and spongy ride at half travel or less. I would stick with 7s in a lever setup.

true I didnt think of it like that. i dont want to have to drive it raked so it doesnt bounce too much. Just run re-7s all around? I dont think im going to run more than 150psi in the tank at any point so REs are enough.

how much for the re6 bags you have?

I have two, id do 140 plus shipping depending on where you are if that sounds fair, that saves you 10 bucks so you dont have to go thru any websites. email me at jhb5064@psu.edu if youre really interested, we can work something out.

These are RE8s at 100 psi

also, consider the volume of air used to fill the bags...I know the psi is less, but it might still use more air.

Seth says RE-7, my buddy im building with says RE-8. I may go with 8s and just see how it goes, 11 inches with 50psi on chassis techs are without the bed and everything, thats just the aired up frame so itll probably be more like 60psi or so in the back and thats what he runs on his 7s on his mazda.

nick, thats awesome lift man. are those bags at like 1/3bar from the pivot? One of the reasons I said run with the 8's is because you are running 5/8 line. The 8's have more volume inside. so adjusting your ride height will be easyier with a bigger bag. not to mention that you need 10.5 inches to untuck those 20's. When we throw the cab and bed and a full tank of gas at that thing who knows what psi you will need. Those airlift 2600 on there now are MAXED out height wise. 7 inch slams will get you a little more lift. But if you want to jack your truck up past those 20's at all you will need the 8's. Your setup is only 2/1 not 3/1 like nicks which i think is sweet lookn. l8r
