seems like i saw something like that in a "rod and custom" mag, or one of those hot rod style mags... the guy mixed it like you said, it was super thin then he ROLLED it on, bubbles and all, rolled, sanded, rolled, sanded, like 4 or 5 coats, then sanded and buffed..Did it on a ford falcon-the whole car!(it was kind of a myth busters kinda thing for them cuz they had heard it was possible for years, but had never tried it) the ED said he was totally surprized but it actually turned out like 80% good!
any way-- they tried spraying it with about the same results, lots of runs, and a pain in the ass, but possible-- with alot of sanding.
--- not what you wanted to hear im sure, but i think thats about the story youd get if you tried it.
why not jsut buy automotive paint? if its rust you are worry'n about hit it with a wire wheel then por-15, then automotive paint......???

thanks, yeah por15 is some good stuff, i wouldnt of put the bs on my exterior it would have used on my a-arms and frame, just something quick and cheap that i can get at walmart, and just spray on stuf to keep it from rusting until i finish it....

isnt por15 brush on? how can you spray that?

Yes you can spray it. I spray equipment with a 2.0 tip and rustoleum. I dont ever thin it either. Just open up the flow and spray a thinner pattern.

I painted my truck with a roller. datboychevy go to my forum www.rolledon.com there are a couple of guys on there that spray rustoleum.

Here's my ranger. I have about $30 in it.

These pictures were taken about 9 months after I painted it. I've only buffed and waxed it one time after I painted it. I only keep it washed about once a month. Still looks like it did the day I painted it.
