air zenith junk

so this is my buddies brand new air zenith compressor. hes only had it on the truck for maybe 3 or 4 months. it didnt even work when it was brand new. the first time we fired up the compressor the set screw for the connecting rod came out, got sucked into the cylinder and broke the reed.

so after a new reed and setscrew it worked, at best, sub par.

so finally the other day he was drivin home, and the compressor totally gives out. hell all it was good for was maybe a fishtank bubbler pump.

so anyways, hers some pics of the shitty compressor.

dont feel bad i got to sit in my kitchen with the same problem buddy had them on his truck for bout 4 months had to replace them with a new set of diff comps

I know what you mean by that. I bought a air zenith compressor and the same weekend I put it on my truck it lasted 2 days at the most. Even after I rebuilt it, the thing went back down the same day.

Are these the NEW az??????? If so im glad I went with 480c dual pack!

I've had my AZ for over a year and haven't had a single problem. It is even one of the originals that got recalled. I never sent it in, and it works perfectly fine. Sorry bout ya'lls luck with them that sucks.

i cant keep mine working its been rebuilt 5 times and its still under my truck not working i have spent waaaay too much money fixing it all the time i even have all the stuff to rebuild it again but i see no point ....i dont see anything special about them i had little bitty thomas comps back in 98 and they were more reliable

i have zeniths on both my vehicles & havent had any issues other than the fans crapping out. the set on the accord is over 3 years old too. with good airflow to cool the head & the proper wiring there shouldnt be a problem imo.

i have a buddy who has had his for about 6 months, bought brand new had them on for a day and they completely gave out, then az told him to send them in and they would fix them sent them in and got them back like 2 months later, installed them and they lasted i think a few days at the most, he was told months ago to wait till aftr sema and they would set him up right, and as of last weekend the story was we cant do anything for you......

brand new EXPENSIVE compressors had them about 6 months, and on th vehicle not even a week.......i was gonna buy some but now they will never receive my money VIAIR is who i will use like i have previously

AIR ZENITH ARE THE WORST COMPRESSORS IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only reason they are on show vehicles is because they got them for a discount of for free. JUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
