This has been covered quite a bit on here. I would use the new and improved search. Are you going to go to a toyota front clip?

what are you doing with the stock motor ??

nah i am going to stick with the i beams i want to keep it ford.....lol
as for the motor one of my cuzin wants the engine so he can put it on a 82' ranger..............

also would the tranny work with the 302 or would i have to get another one?
One of my friends told me that all I need is just a bell housing.........wat do you all think?

It would be best to change the trans, depends on if you want a manual or switch it to a automatic on which would be your best bet. You can use '77 Truck 302 mounts on the motor and make a mounting plate that spaces the motor up an inch on the crossmember, this will allow you to use 65-66 Mustang Tri-Y headers (dirt cheap and fit like they were made to be there) Older Total Performance Kits sold these headers and listed them as custom made to fit a Ranger (Yea right). You will need a Fox body Mustang pan on your engine to clear the crossmember, and you will need to relocate the oil filter because the steering box is directly in the way. Try Advance Adapters or therangerstation.com for more info on this swap.

I found the part number for the mounts you can use its a Napa # 602-1265, 70's ford Truck with a 302.
