Hey max, i got a question for ya. i got bodydropped f150 that i built a while back to lay on 20's. well i've got a set of 22's i wanna run now but dont wanna go back and cut out all the suspension and redo it. right now im running modified djm lowers, stock uppers, and slam re7's. i just got a set of the djm uppers to help it lay on the 22. what im thinkin is i have two options to get it to lay. 1. buy belltech drop spindles and be done with it or 2. i can save $350 and section the lower control arm. i was thinking cut the arm about 2" back from the ball joint, raise it up 2" and plate and reinforce it. i know that it can be done rather easily but i guess the part i need advice is, is it necessary to move the upper control arm up now. i know by moving the placement of the balljoint messes with the geometry of the suspension. if it will be ok i think i will save the money and put the time in the arm. thanks -jason

I would suggest not messing with the geometry of a suspension that has obviously given you years of reliable service and just buy the spindles. It seems too simple, but often times that is the best way to go.

If you raise the lower ball joint then the upper will most likely bind and not allow you to lay. Then you will have to re-angle the upper ball joint and by that time who knows where you geometry is... I would get the spindles, Jason.
