I still am in search of a kit or some help, do you have any experience with this? i have a 99 suburban 3/4 ton 8 lug,and i can not locate a lowering kit for it. Can i piece something together? Street Trucks has an article in this months where they lower a 3/4 ton crew cab non dually 8 lug with a 5/7 djm kit, so i called djm and they said they have never made a kit for a 3/4 ton suburban and wouldnt know if the kit for the pickup would work on my suburban. I do not have a 3/4 ton pickup to compare parts to so i thought with all the wealth of info on here someone would be able to Help me. Will i be able to use the pickup spindles, springs, and the 7 inch flip with mini c notch on my 99 3/4 ton burban???

The front suspension should be the same. I would call gm and see if the upper and lower control arm part numbers are the same from truck to suburban.

more than likely they are NOT the same, i know on the older style (late 80's) the 2500 burbans and the 3500 duallys will not use the same spindal do to the style of hub. I have a 8 lug '86 burban and i was able to find spindals for it thru aim, you just have to call and ask and they will tell you what you need to look for on it as far as what breaks you have. the rear just remove a few springs or blocks if your just going down a minimal distance. Hope this helps you get started in the right direction!

I would still call the dealership aobut the control arms I know it takes the same ball joints and tierod ends. The rear would be simple you would have to build your own notch but the flip kit should work.

so i should be ok going with the 7 inch rear flip and putting a mini notch in, and then check with gm on the part numbers for the spindles and control arms on the 8 lug suburban and pickups?

The parts used in the tech article are 1-ton dually parts from DJM...as the truck was lifted before we needed new leaf springs, we got a set of 1500 leafs instead of 2500 for a bit of a softer ride, but that doesnt matter much (and might be different on a suburban). Get the 1-ton spindles/coils and flip kit and youll be set!
