Im kinda new to this but i have an 03 silverado thats in the process of being bagged. Ive seen some pics of some trucks like mine that sit higher in front than back, and some are laying the front plastic on the ground without bd. Is this a diff. in drop spindles vs. stock or is there something else im missing. I know i dont want that uneven look. Also is there anything else i need to know about completeing the front setup? Thanks

im not completely sure on those trucks but know some minis and fullsizes alike will need to be Z'd in the front. it may just be that some are not setup correctly......

guy down a town from me lays even and i think his is an 01?

There are a couple things on the silverados that need to be taken care of to lay frame...the front crossmember has to be sectioned or a new shorter one installed (from KP, etc...) and 20s with drop spindles to lay or if youre using 22s, the front needs to be tubbed/etc...

That front high look is caused by the great chevy gigantic tranny crossmember. I used the kp crossmember and it lays perfectly flat now. And as stated above, depending on how big of a wheel you run, I would reccomend using drop spindles and tubbing the firewall. Remember, it's better to over do it, in case you decide to go bigger in the future...

im gonna run 22's, ive asked around and thats the first ive heard of the crossmember but thats nice to know. ill call kp and see what they have. even if im not laying frame i jus dont want it to sit uneven cause that looks horrible and i only see it with the chevys.

I'm not sure how the later model Chevys are set up, but the '99 I just did needed the front frame Z'd to get the frame and crossmember to be level.

depending on what offset your wheels are and what size tires you run there are a number of things that can keep you from aying out. the one main thing is the ttranny crossmember. if u want to spend the money buy a kp or devious replacement or if you want to save some money find one off another truck in a junkyard and just trim and replate it. if running a 35 series tire on a 22 the firewall is close i just beat mine with a rubber hammer and it clears, but the inner tubs will have to be cut out. the only other thing will be the tire may hit the brake booster
