In the process of re wiring my 93 b2200, I was thinking that if I was to get a harness out of an older model b series that it would mainly have just the lighting in the harness (engine compartment). THe harness I mean is on the Drivers side of the engine compartment. ANy thoughts?

i thought that the efi was a mitsubushi motor? and even at that i have a 90 that has a different harness then a 86-87 the whole harness is different i think

no I swapped out the engine so engine management isn't the issue. It's the lighting horns signal etc. Just wondering if I should go with a painless or something like that

We usually switch the whole harness in from the efi truck when we do a switchover. The chassis wiring harness from the carb truck won't have the eletric fuel pump feed with it. I think the rest of it should be pretty much the same though. One of my friends did his wiring with parts of both an efi and carberator wiring harnesses because the wiring out of his efi parts truck was damaged from a collision. It can be done, its just the harder road to take.

running a 4.3l efi engine so just trying to eliminate wires the easiest way, and keep the wiring simple. I am using a painless harness for the 4.3

Ahhh, I get you now. You should be able to just rip down your factory harness and strip out all the engine related items and re- wrap it when your done then. Try and get a wiring diagram from Mitchel printed off if you can, its aot better than the Chilton or Haynes version. A good wiring diagram will deff. help, good luck.
