2000 Honda Civic Mystery!!

Is there anybody out there?!?!?

I just recently had an issue with my civic where, while I was driving, the car completely shut off and would not start again. The engine would crank but it wouldn't turn over...apparently the distributor and relays went bad so $500 later- it was replaced. A few days later my check engine light came on and after running another diagnostic, the code was dismissed as a misfire. The code came back as catalytic. Never an issue again

try replacing your TPS (throttle postion sensor) that happen to my yoda a while back...

id say try selling ur car!!!

IM GONNA GO AHEAD AND SAY CHECK UR TIMING, ILL BET ITS OFF BY A TOOTH OR TWO. ITS A GOOD POSSIBILTY SINCE THE PROBLEM UR HAVING NOW COME SOON AFTER REPLACEMENT OF UR TIMING BELT. JUST AN IDEA

u mite have a bad computer, what year is it?

on the older civics there is a screw on the throttle body above the air inlet ,it allows some idle adjustment,mine vibrated loose and fell out and the car ran like poo at low rpm's.i limped it home and had a spair one trew it in and was good as new .not sure if its the same for your car but just athought.its the gold one in the pic.

but if its shifting into higher gears i would say computer too not sure if those have seperate computers or not but id bet computer final answer

yea the only reason i said that is cuz my accord is kinda doin the samething an ive changed everything in my car with all oem parts an my the mechanic i go to only works on honda/acura. he thaught it was the computer or a wireing problem. then he happen to get another customer with the same problem an he told me it was the computer. so thats my guess but i kno the two cars have differences
