is there a difference in the heads? i have a head from a b2000 an dits warped and i have a 2200 head i swapped the front cover that slips over the cam and it bolted up no difference just have to bolt the intake up and everything seems to be the same.

just the rocker assy. the 2.0 has mechanical lifters and the 2.2 has hydraulic. you will want to use the 2.0 rocker assy on the 2.2 head to keep from having the awful ticking noise everyone hates. i have heard from other people that there is a difference in cooling passages but i had a 2.0 head and a 2.2 head sitting side by side and saw no visual difference.

Yep thats the only differance I know about too. the block is shorter on the 2.0. the stroke is what makes it smaller in cc's

The only difference I have ever found between the two is the casting number and the newer B2200 heads from about 89 up seem to have a better casting. Just make sure when swapping rocker arms and such that you do not swap the cam caps. Those must stay matched with the original head.
