Next month or so Im tearing my truck apart for paint and powder coat....Frames getting painted and the suspension is getting powder coated. My question is should I sand blast all the rustoleum off the frame or is sanding and scuffing it sufficient. There will be a few bodyworked areas but most of it is already metal finished....Just wondering if I need to get it blasted before I take it to my painter as it'll be cheaper for a buddy to do it rather than have my painter do it....Thanks alot fellas....Happy Turkey Day

definately blast it and start fresh with a nice epoxy primer as a base for bodywork and paint

Blast it it will help get any heavy grease off also plus it will have less elbow grease if you know what I mean.

NO RUSTUOLEUM.. Get rid of it.. that stuff is nasty.. someone should destroy them.

my rule of thumb is to never apply a final finish over anything that came out of an aerosol can. lol
