Hey Max, I am building a complete custom front suspension, and am wanting to run mustang 2 control arms. Can i run a blazer 4wd drop spindle up front. Will the control arms work with one another, or should i just stick with a mustang 2 spindle. I would like to run a Z06 big brake setup on the blazer spindle, that is why!!

I'm Pretty there are plenty of companies that make big brake kits for Mustang 2 suspensions.

The mustang 2 spindle is quite short which limits the amount of lift you will be able to get out of it, this is one of the big reasons you don't see m2 setups in many mini trucks.

If your looking to use mustang 2 arms a toyota spindle may be a better bet, the upper balljoint taper is the same as a mustang 2. Most aftermarket arms use a chrysler screw in joint for the upper, p/n K772. I'm not 100% on which lower ball joint the mustang 2 aftermarket arms use so I can't tell you if it will match up or not. I do know there is a screw in joint that fits the taper for the lower hole on the 'yota spindle but I can't find the p/n.

You may find that you are better off to pick a spindle and design your own front end setup inthe end. This way you can lessen the camber curve of an o.e. setup, add rack and pinion steering, big brakes etc. Plus it will be 100% custom tpo go with your custom frame.

If you do consider the toyota spindle as the basis for a custom designed front suspension Phattys makes a big brake kit for it with 13" rotors and 4 piston willwood calipers. He does very nice work, I just saw one of his tacoma kits and was very impressed.
