I have painted striping around my flames on top of the clear. I'm looking to remove this, and it will be restriped to match my nitrous bottle. What is the most efficient/safe way to do this.

depending how green your clear is, you may be able to just wash it off with thinner.

However you may have to wetsand them off, then polish it up. I'd use a 1000, or 1500 to make short work of it. Then maybe chase over it really quick with 2000, then use a good compound and a buffer to bring the shine back up, I like to use Farecla g3, or g6. Then you can have it re-stripped.

Scott. The only way to do it and not screw up your existing paint is to get some easy off oven cleaner (the no smell kind) and wear a repirator. Spray the shit out of it and start rubbing with a terry towel. Keep doing this until it's gone. Your clear will be really dull but it will buff out. Don't use sand paper, you will be sanding around it more than on it and will take your clear off and have a much bigger problem. Once you get the lines off and buff it out you need to call me so I can put the new lines on it.
