guys who wont sell

i live in oklahoma pretty ghetto place to be for the most part but for some reason you can find cars here good cars some of value just rusting away and various other scenarios anyway the other day i was out looking for cars and came across a 1959 el camino the car was complete all glass all the trim all the lights and minimal surface rust (this is one of my top 5 carsby the way) so naturally i stop and knock on the guys door and ask him about it this tard says ""what el camino" and i say theone over there next to the truck and he tells me "" oh i have a used car lot and i use these cars for parts"" (he had several carsone of which was a 60 coupe deville that was pristine but resemble a plant just as much as a car) i kinda of wanted to slap him whatswith people that have something thats just going to waste and they'll never give it up thats why so few of these beautiful cars are left so if you have a treasure that your not doing anyhing with please sell it or at least fix it and allow yourself and others to enjoy it

its not going to waste if he's using it for parts....

on the other hand, it pisses me off more than anything when people think they have gold when they have runny green shit.

just because someone wont sell it doesn't give you the right to talk bad about them. they may have dreams of building it someday. maybe it was there grandpas ride they rode around in as kids, or there fathers car who just passed, or the brothers that died.......theres stories in those rides that they dont want to tell you...and well....you shouldn't really care about. it's theirs and they want to keep it. when it all comes down to it, its just a pile of sheet metal that typically wouldn't get finished whether or not they sell it. dont get me wrong, it can make you angry, but just because someone doesn't want to let go of their pride and joy at that time, don't say it's going to waste.

is it possible that their father owned it and wanted to be the only owner of the car and they are keeping that true by letting it sit?

this comes up on the hamb regularly.....

i've seen several rusty shitpiles in my town with all kinds of junk in them and "NOT FOR SALE" written on the window with shoe polish, lol

yeah that would be fine if that was the case but when he said ""what
el camino"" like he didn't know he had a car that only looked like
that for one production year that leads me to believe that it wasn't
sentimental and use it for parts? i'll see if i can get some pics of
it and tell me you'd use such a pristine classic for parts! i'm just
saying allow people to enjoy the classics im pretty sure a classic car
sinking in your yard doesn't do much good to your portfolio

maybe he enjoys knowing people like you won't ever own his car that he calls "oh...that thing". im just sayin dont hate him cuz he's got a ride you want. I bet you money he knows exactly what it is and has had so many people come up to him in his years that he just started being a smart ass. not to mention you knocked on his door.

im not sure i would sell anything i own from here on out either other than my ford, but i may end up keepin that pile.
