i did 2.5" and it lays rocker. but i had to shaved the crossmember under the oil pan 1/2" for the front to go down fully.because it sits on the ground before the body will.

This is in no way directed towards you, or anyone for that matter...but what do the inches matter exacty? Cut the floor and drop the cab. If you want it rockered, cut out your pinch before dropping the cab down. When it drops, then measure it and drop your frame horns that much. I have always wondered what it matters how many inches it is, as long as it touches ground your fine. Measurements don't much matter if you have a level floor (or steel tubing to lay it out on) until you gotta do the frame work portion...

^^This is in every way directed to you Grant, inches matter. Maybe the above is simply trying to do some rough calculating to see what kind of a head room loss he is going to wind up with if he opts for the traditional lifted floor instead of a stock floor. Perhaps his tires are getting close to the fender tops, booster or slave cylinder currently and he's not sure if he will be able to do as much of a bd as he needs. Maybe his engine is gonna burst through his hood like the koolaid man if he does a bd of a certain amount and he is concerned about the cost of doing extra work to squeeze it under there. There is a million different reasons he could be asking and he was given an answer by the first poster. This shows that there are more helpful ppl on here than there are pricks which I think is a good reflection of our community as a whole. Peace out

I just thought, maybe he needs a number to plug into 3d CAD before he starts, its way fukin cheaper than metal these days you know, lol

1.25" Z and 3" body droped and it is way into the rocker, my last truck had 1" Z and shaved crossmember and 2.5" body drop and it was into the rocker, but not as far as my new one. you could probably do a Z and 2.25" boy drop and be on the rocker barely.
