I know I could just scuff a good carbonfiber hood and spray it with an adhesion promoter but the problem with my hood is the gell coat is crap. I wouldnt want to paint it if the gell coat wasnt cracking and popping up but it is now I have a choice, paint the hood or get a new one... I know if I sand the hood to deep I would run into the fibers. SO I have figured my options are using filler, sand smooth and paint?? What are your alls comments and has anyone went through the same promlems as me?

I wouldnt mind ditching the hood but its WELL vented to cool my tubro setup allowing for a cooler charge.

If u want to retain the look of carbon fiber why not sand it good and start building with gel coat till u get enough to fill in all the bad stuff then block it down and clear a few times

is there a gel coat that is sprayable for carbonfiber? I'm sure there is I'm basicaly asking you all if you know where I could locate it. that would be the way to go is spray the gel coat with a couple layers, block it with 320 I suppose and another layer and then clear??
