4 link tab thickness

got a 92 toyota. im moving my lower bars out of the stock perches. im going to cut new tabs to put further up the frame, for ground clearance. the stock perches are 1/8" thick. my truck has been bagged like this for 3 years. is there any reason the new tabs can't be 1/8" also? because i already have some plate, and its a light truck.

That should be fine. The only reason that I would condone the use of thick material is that it covers up any poor design weakness.
