I have a question regarding setting up a carrier bearing with an offset rear end. The transmission is center in the frame rails and the rear axle is offset like the factory (8.8 ford axle) s10. My question would be would you have to angle the driveshaft left to right for the first driveshaft to compensate for the angle of the second? I know that the pinion angle of the first piece has to be the opposite of the tranny and the second about matching the tranny pinion...ive looked all over but couldn't find any definitive answers..

You would want the carrier bearing centered with the transmission.

i would imagine it should be set about half way the side offset, and about half the distance of the offset up and down. with equal length shafts. but, a little to the side shouldnt hurt anything. should help really.
