later beams do not work, you cano nly get like 3 inches of drop and you really have to use dream beams or whatever. i have looked and looked at my front setup and theres no way around it. Marz is making a bolt on front bag setup for it but its not finished and not sure when it will be finished. simplest thing to do is to turn it away, your in for a hell of a ride if this guy wants it super low. hes not going to be happy when your done as it wont be low at all, it will just be where it should have been from the factory.

edit: also, you cant move it up, or cut the coils very much. you MAY get away with a coil/coil n a half with drop beams but its gunna camber regardless. you can get the stock beams bent as well, but still not going low low. the crossmember hangs down a hell of a way (like 6 inches) from the frame rails. its just not the kind of truck you drop cheaply. you go all out or you settle for less.

65 was the first year of ibeams. 65-79 are the same ibeams and will swap out, the difference bein 73-79 are disk breaks come on them. i lowered mine back in 99 with djm 3inch drop ibeams i took very little off the coils and had a big truck alignment shop bend the beams for camber but couldnt get it 100% its off one degree. bending the beams is something they didnt like to do. on the 70ish up to 72 model trucks they have larger or wider break drums and have wider leave springs. on the back of my truck i removed some of the leaves witch on my truck gave it beter ride and lowered the back. the frames change in 73 makein the frame wider. and the front crosmember hangs down about 6 inches as metioned above. the stearing box is right at the fire wall and the stearing arms run right through the radius arms. so with time and money zing the frame is pointless.

MINE IS A 67 AND BACK IN 98 I HAD TO PUT ANOTHER FRAME UNDER IT CAUSE OF A WRECK. ITS 79 3 IN DROP IBEAMS DJM, WITH DISK BREAKS 72 FRAME AND A FEW LEAVE TAKEIN OUT.
