Just out of curiosity, why does everyone make their lower control arms into triangulated arms? Is it just for stability or for for some other reason? My 89 is bagged on 18s and it seems to be holding up fine, I was just wondering....

When triangulating the lower arms you get rid of the factory strut rod. The strut rod is the peice of solid tube that bolts under the factory lower control arm and heads towards the front of the frame. It attaches under the radiator with a bushing. When going low it tends to bind on the steering and the bushing it is mounted in. Plus it is the lowest part of the front of the frame, so it eventually gets dragged off anyway.
