I have a 95 1500 thats being built i have a small block 350 with alot of billet and endura shine parts on it that i was gona put in my mazda that is going to be a better looking engine than whats in my 1500 the chevys build has went further than expected and isnt going to look right with a stock engine anymore can anyone tell me what im going to loose on the dash as far as the factory gauges and anything else that might be a problem its an older model engine just wandering if it will be an easy drop in just swap some sensors and it work will i still be able to run the same tranny without any problems

I take it that you are putting an older engine in your 95 chevy

What kind of fuel delivery system does the old motor have?

lol who needs punctuation you sound like my boss i just learned letters in typing class so thats all i use its alot faster than looking for keys anyways coming out is the stock 350 trottle body going in is a carberated 350 i was just wandering if i could keep my tach and all my other gauges and if the tranny would still work properly

Why not ls1 or new 5.3 setup. You could keep everything.

i aready have this engine sitting around and i have around 4500 to 5000 in it and ive aready spent an ass of money on this project i dont know how you guys afford to build some of thes sick trucks on here my buddy is hooken me up and with just parts its alot of money

I swapped a 350 in for a 4.3 v-6,all my guages work and so does the tranny,as long as you put your wires back as they came off..there shouldn't be a problem

well i had done this same swap a couple months ago. what u can do is transfer over your engine coolant and oil pressure sensors to the same location on your new block. then leave your fuel injection harness. leave it plugged into the computer and the firewall. then start trimming off all the wires other than your alternator, coolant, oil sensor, if you are keeping air then leave them. if u have a tach i think its the pink one? everrything else cut off. i cut mine off right where they come out of the main harness on the firewall. but you do need to leave the computer in the truck cuz it does control your fuel pump. by doing this like idid all the gauges worked. hope this helps.what are you doing about your fuel pump and what about tranny are you using the factory 700r4

thats kinda what we had in mind just swap the sensors over with my distributor for the trans we are gona order the kit to change it over from electronic did you use the factory fuel pump and regulate it or did you intall somthing different thanks for the info

Your welcome. If u keep the stock dist and coil then disregard my comment about the tach wire. We did that cuz we changed it over to hei also. So we had to find the tach wire. We kept the factory fuel pump and put a regulator on it. But u gotta make sur u get the rite regulator to hold the pressure. Tge 1st one we got leaked out the top cuz it wasn't meant for our applucation. Call jegs talk to them and they will get u 1 that works just make sure they know that its factory fuel pump. Thge one we got was an aeromotive that cost 75 to 90 dollars I think. I would give part number but I don't remember it sorry. Everything worked so u should b good. We done pulled our motor out now its getting a procharged 6.0. Need anything else let me know. Later
