Does anyone know the largest size sliding rag you can put in the 99+ reg cab silverado? Also is it a good idea?

personally i will never cut another hole in the roof of anything i build. the wind noise is horrible, the possibility of leaks is always a concern...plus with a single cab truck, it's only going to open a few inches any way. id say save the money and invest somewhere else on your truck. but for everyone like me saying "no" there's another saying "yes" so...

35x24 is about normal to put in there without too much modification. If you want to go larger, measure the flatest part of your rof front to back and width.
