can i do this? i am looking at getting a 70 blazer 4x4 but i want to make it a 2wd. do i need to find a 2wd frame or can i use the 4x4 one and bolt 2wd suspension to it?

Im just about positive you can just bolt a 2wd suspension into the 4wd frame. Its been a while since ive looked at one, but i believe most of the mounting holes are in the frame already, you just need to drill 2 holes. Find a 2wd crossmemeber and take some measurements to be sure!

yes you can convert it to a 2wd.The front crossmember on the 67-87 chev/gmc trucks are a bolt on.You could order the Potterbuilt front crossmember for that truck and be good to go with a little work.

i second the pb member. they look badass clean. and i seem to remember 73 up brakes swap on for easy discs.

I know you can do it. I have a 76 blazer sitting in my driveway right now. SD also makes a drop member for them.check out some of the chevy forums.
