i went through a puddle i shouldnt have and got a good amount of water sucked up in my k&n, so im gonna change the oil and oil filter to be safe, anything else i should do?

Still run? Knocking? Maybe change your oil but, if nothings wrong them rock out.

at first it was struggling to start, so i changed the spark plugs and it starts and runs fine, as a matter a fact it idles way better. However I did notice that the oil is waay fuller then it was before hitting the water, so im thinking i wanna change the oil before something goes wrong down the line.

if its only a little bit of water dont worry about it. the water will vaporize in the combustion chamber creating steam, cleaning your pistons and valves. if its a lot the truck wont run but dry the filter and reoil it. the thicker dirtier oil is from the carbon that was cleaned off everything

alright, for sure, will do

yeah, to an extent water is a good thing. like said, it cleans things off and removes the carbon build ups. but, i would change the oil out and the filter. and make sure the air filter isnt sopping wet. otherwise, you should be fine.

prob wouldnt hurt to pull the intake tube and make sure there isnt any water hangin out in there.

id be careful. back in 96 i has a nissan hardbody b/d with no hood. they got them damn intakes with the throttle body sticking straight up. i got ready to go to boogerbash and it rained over night and didnt know it. i started the truck and it had water setting on top of the piston, it bent the 4the piston piston rod and made it slap the damn block. then i drive it to show fest in 04. tried to put a plasttic bag on it the intake when i got there. it kep some water out but not all. but you better believe i had almos a whole rag in that intake before i cranked it getting the damn water out. 1000 miles along ways from home with bad motor...... should have put a 240 intake on it
