the stock system is pioneer and i have a fosgate 900w amp and one hx2 12". the problem i have is now that i put valves in the trunk when you get out of the car and close all doors about 30 sec later the sub just starts humming real loud. i have the inputs spliced into the low side of the amp and it has worked fine for almost a year. the amp(aftermarket) is hooked to the remote for the stock amp. for some reason it gets a pulse that turns it back on for a few seconds after the doors close.

are the valves too close to the amp or wires? i know the valves are big magnets, but only when energized right? this happens even if you dont hit the switches

ground issue.

either ground, or you need to find something else to tap the remote off of... if it's getting a power signal after the key is out its gotta be something with the remote wire....

the battery is in the trunk. all my ground cables are no longer than 3' long and connect right to the battery. if this was the problem why would it make the sub jump or buzz?

Check how close your rca's are to any other wiring and getting interference. I would try using a line out converter to connect the factory speaker wires to the rca's. You could also try something that would shield the stereo wiring from the air ride wiring.
