2005 Chevy Service Air Bag Warning light?

My dad has an 2005 Chevy Truck and the service air bag light stays on. What could be the problem and what is the solution to fixing the error? Thanks!

Could be one of two things:   -Check the wiring under the drivers seat and passenger seat. There are conectors that sometimes get wiggled the wrong way and trip the light. Make sure they are fully connected.   -If the truck has the compas/temp thing on the rear view mirror, check that plug too. There is an air bag warning light in that mirror that will trip if the plug isn't connected all the way. (A friend of mine broke his mirror and it tripped the light.)   Those are the simplest fixes I can think of. If that doesnt fix it, there are bigger issues at hand... Hope this helps you bud.
