tryin to find out if there is any noticeable differences between 73-87 spindles and 88-98 1 ton spindles. im wanting to lift my 82 1ton flatbed and cant find spindles for 73-87 so i thought i would see if 88-98 spindles are similar if not the same besides the brakes so i can just bolt them up to my stock control arms. if not them im gonna hae to build some spindles and would rather not do it if i dont have to

about about using a spacer at the top balljoint, and then lower the lower arms with a drop brace. like on IFS 4wd lift kits. couldnt be too hard to make.

Why not just build control arms with the right balljoints for the later model spindles? Would be easier than building spindles. Or ream the spindles to the right taper.

yeah. arms and spacers or drop parts and spacers. hell, a lift coil might get you what you want depending how much lift you want.
