Needing some pics of some brushed aluminum stripes dividing a two tone job or anything for that matter. Have heard of many ways to do this, just wondering the best way to get this effect and how it would look on my escalade rather than a chrome strip airbrushed on. Iam the airbrusher but i know that there are some greats on here such as Brian from lost cause that may have a few pointers and opinions, but am wanting input from everyone, pics, tips, and tricks are all welcome. Thanks a lot, Jason. ====$hroom$ Cu$tom Air====

You can use a Silver base then take Grey Scotch Brite Pad and go over the silver in one motion only creating lines inthe Silver base which make it appear like the lines in the brushed aluminum. Also you can Mist some Deluted (over reduced) Black over the Silver base then use the Grey Scotch Brite Pad and gently go over the Strip you painted. hope that helps.

Do it with the scotchbrite like everyone said, but use HOK's aluminum chrome paint.  Spray the black base, let it flash out as epr the papers, then scuff the black in one direction, and add the chiselled look with shadowing if you want it.  Then spray the aluminum kustom krome over that until you have the effect you want.  There was an article in streettrucks a while back that showed Craig Fraser doing it on a SEMA truck.

Just throwing in a tip for anyone that wants to do this on the cheap:  Duplicolor has an aluminum spray paint that actually has a pretty nice reflective surface on it. Like aluminum straight from the mill. Not sure how it looks scratched with a scotch brite though. I just painted a mannequin for a local swimsuit company with it and it turned out killer!
