jcampbell1180   +1y

Yeah, it's a wheelie bar minus the wheels. I havn't goten around to soldering them on yet. Like I said, she's still a work in progress.

Dick.

Basically, a slot car is a scale vehicle, typically with a lexan body and a stamped steel chassis, that is powered by an electric motor. Similar to an R/C car, but there is no steering involved because in the front of the car, mounted on the chassis is a small guide that rides in a grove routed into the track. Ask your old man about it. It was real popular in the 60's and 70's.

Anyway, I'm not into the road couse stuff, just drag racing. Drag racing is a little different. The cars can be much faster and, typically, you run hard plastic bodies (model cars). Most guys build their own custom chassis out of wire to fit the particular body they are going to use. Thats what I do. I'm hardcore.

My 11 year old wants a el camino for a school car. My wife hates them, but we're looking for a good project elky or ranchero. This after I've been saving my camaro for 12 years to fix up together.
