I am looking for some prices on complete tube chassis', or what what shops charge, or what you have paid for your chassis. I have a heidts IRS, Mustang 2 front suspension, power rack and pinion, 22's all the way around, 355 with a 700r4 and all the tube is purchased already. What would some prices be for labour wise to build a fairly basic chassis. I know its hard to put a price on custom work, but what would most labour prices be without the cost of any of the above mentioned parts included. any input

shop rate is $85.00 an hour, and it would probably take 100-130 hours so between 8-11k

The components listed doesnt really jive with the 'basic chassis' part.   Labour wise easily 5K if not more. It also has alot to do with your location, and the time frame you have for the project. If you need it done in a month, its gonna be a full time job for the shop. But if you can leave it with the shop for the whole winter or something, it might  be cheaper.

I couldn't even give you a starting price. There are too many options for a project like that.

BTW we need to raise our labor rate lol   But to really answer your question, here in the midwest youd be 6 grand or so in labor... even if you have the tubing you have to remember that when you bend tubing you waste alot of it. so you may be having to buy more tubing, then your odds and ends bullshit adds up gas lines brake likes, etc...

yea i dont think that chassis will be basic by any means.   something like that starts at 3k and can get up there fast.

Like Max said, there are just to many variables.  But I wouldn't even consider doing it for less than $5,000.  But like Joel said, your time frame would be important to help quote it.
