i got a 93 chevy x-cab and i had the motor redone. hooker headers, jet stage 2 chip, high rise intake, and .030 over. my truck runs real rich when i 1st start it up and actually smokes a little. but it eventually gets better after i start driving. what could b the reason 4 it running righ?
What thermalstat temp are you running?
r u sure its running rich or is it burning a little oil thru the valveguide seals?
Don't those things have cold start mode? where they dump extra fuel when you first start it to warm the motor up.

yeah i'm runnin a 160 themostat. what is the stock thermostat that comes in it? thanks 4 the info
I would try a 180 thermalstat that should fix your problem Thats what Im running in my truck and it runs around 190-200 all day with no problems
