Ran into a problem trying to get the Lightning to lay frame on 22's. The wiring harness on the drivers side below the brake booster is in the way when the truck is aired out w/ the 22's. We cant find a place to relocate w/o having to pull the dash out. What have some of you done? could we cut around the harness and recess it back a few inches with out any problems? thanks guys

dont know if you can see mine from the pics, but i just lengthened all the wires and put the harness under the dash.  you might be able to just recess it back a little depending on how much you tub it.  or you could lengthen the wires and put it in the engine bay somewhere.  good luck.  it was a pain in the ass.

How is your front setup? I know people have mentioned flipping the uppers from left to right to make it so you dont have to tub the firewall for 22's ...   On my supercrew, the computer was unbolted, pushed farther into the cab, pushed the wires to the top of the hole and pushed in more, then a filler made to cover the bottom ... Then routed the wires onto the top of the new inner fenders

We had to tub a small section of the firewall but nothing crazy, used a explorer brake booster and this harness is the only thing holding me back. I'll have to talk to my guy to see what he's come up with. I dont think he wants to go into lengthening all the wires and moving it under the dash or far from the stock location. I think we may just recess it in a bit. i'm running 265/35/22s and have no plans on body dropping the lightning. thanks

go to junk yard get the same harness out of dnor truck and lengthen all the wires with the same color code so nothing gets screwed up, I usually do one wire at a time

thats how i did it.  one wire at a time.  i also moved my whole cab back an inch.

if you disconnect the wire harness and disconnect all the clips holding the wire harness from the core support  you will have room to push the wireing harness in the truck and put  rubber gromet around the wire harness so it don't get cut from the metal, and you will be able to disconnect it under the dash i hope it works out for you i did 1 and we did'nt have no problems

we didnt lengthen any wires ... there was enough slack to move it inside the cab ...   my supercrew lays hard ... no tubbing, stock booster 22x9.5 wheels 265/35/22 tire

He did the same thing for the computer on the pass. side, so hopefully it work out here too. Will keep everyone posted.
