Ok heres tha deal. Im on my third project. Its a 96 ranger 2.3 that is bagged. Ive replaced the old locked up motor with a fresh 2.3 and have taken out all the a/c components except for the a/c compressor. Is there any way i can convert the stock compressor to fill my tank. Right now I am using a dc5000. it works good for my 7 gal tank but i need something a lil faster.  Also the valves are a little old and are sticking. I have all new 1/2 valves to replace them with but when i swap them should i install an oiler between the water trap and tank or will the oil screw up my new danz diaphram valves. Any help is appreciated.

i have never used an oiler of anytype but you will need a oil water seperator between the compressorand the tanks. think of the valves like a paintball gun they love oil but to much oil will cause them to act up as well. i just take them apart and rub some air tool oil or paintball gun oil on all the rubber parts in them. never had a prob with that method

I think with those screw type compressors, the freon (or whatever it's called now) has lubricant or acts as a lubricant. You would need to have somesort of lubricant added to the intake line to keep it from siezing up on you.

Thanks for the help. i'll try that. any other opinions? I found a rotary kit for edc's on airbagit.com with the oiler, filter, lead hose, separator, etc for $77. My next question is how do i hook it up to engage the clutch when i need to fill the tank? thanx guys
