so i just put an explorer brake booster on my 97 f150 and the shaft where it hooks to the pedal is about 4 inches to short from reaching the pedal. I just wanted to see what most of you have done or would do in this situation.

cut your factory one and add to the one that you have put on to make up the few inches your missing (make it longer )

ok you could thread both sides and use a screw collar to connect it

mine was lengthened,  i have about a 1/2 play in the pedal before it actually brakes, but it does the job.

I will take some while doing it. i still havent finished it yet cause im in the middle of other stuff to but ill put some up when i get it done.

also any thoughts to switching to a  Hydro Boost rather then using the explorer booster

im thinking about it, just doing my research now, if you have any info about doing a hydroboost on our f150s please let me know.
