Ok, So i did something really dumb...

I have a 92 Mazda B2600i on the rocker.
--->forgot to add, The truck has 4x4 Sheetmetal

I went out and bought these wheels, Colorado Customs "Hancock" used because they were 6 lug and i didn't want to change to 5 lug...
Well after paying to get them powder coated and new tires mounted on them, I THEN tried to put them on the truck...I know i should have done this ALONG time ago....but I didn't
 ---->Wheels are 17x8 with 4.5" Backspacing
Well my issue is these wheels will not tuck, I should have measured the offset and everything before doing this, but since The guy I bought them from had them on a mazda I thought I would be ok.

My question is, Can I shorten the control arms? or would this mess something up? I have no idea, I know everyone will say i'm a dumb ass and i should have measured or just went to 5 lug.

But now i'm just at 1000 in these wheels and i actually like these wheels, Any input?

if i were you i would post up pics so people can see how much the offset is off to tuck the wheels.

Thats not a lot of cash for a set of colorado customs wheels. I would say narrow the front clip, and the rearend. shortening the arms isnt the best way to do it. I like those hancock's. Takes me back about 10 years in wheel styles.

I'll try and get some pics up soon, But i left my digi camera at work I know 1k in Colorado Customs wheels isn't alot, But i'm not rich either so 1k is alot to me lol   Rearend i'm not too worried about. Narrowing a complete front clip....Seems like alot of work...almost more than its worth.

You can narrow the frame in the front fairly easily in a mazda but I don't know if you will get enough to clear with the offset you have. I would suggest you do the frame not the arms though, for sure. Narrowing the clip will keep your geometry intact therby avoiding other issues. You can section the bolt in x member that is under the oil pan the desired amount and then take an equal sized bite out of the center link for the steering. This way you will keep the factory geometry for your front suspension.  You can also z the front up about an inch if you have the clip cut loose as well. You will need ot drop and notch the  front x member if you choose to do this but it is possible. Doing this will help you lay without drop spindles which push the front track out some( 1/2-3/4" I believe) When you re-attach the clip be sure to add a shear load gusset over the welded area to strengthen the joint as well. MT ran an article a while back on how to narrow a Mitsu clip you might want to check out. Different truck I know but the concept is the same, good luck.

Hey Chris thanks for giving me a call tonight. Hopefully I gave you some ideas for different options. Anyway, after we talked I thought of another option. What about having the front wheels rehooped with the correct offset? I've never had it done but have heard of people sending wheels back to the manufacturer to do it.

Hey Chris,   You did get me some good idea's I'll try them in the next couple days.   I dont' think i want to get them re-hooped. I would prolly just sell them first.   Thanks though!

It looks like all of your options have been covered. My job here is done...
