Does anyone know exactly where on the block the knock sensor is located? I got to help a friend change his and I'm just trying to get a heads up before spending time trying to find it. Thanks guys!

We finally replaced this part and the code still came back on after clearing them...This is what the code says, unless someone else has a better explanation..Code table 12 code 43 = 43 Knock sensor signal was either above 3.5 volts or below 1.5 volts for at least 20 seconds. any ideas? It  runs horrible and gets shi%^y gas miles and thats the only code I got after replacing the throttle pos sensor...It Was throwing both codes, but the tps code is gone and this one remains...

check the o2 sensor they can make it get bad gas mileage and run like crap

true...but wouldnt that make its own code pop up? Or would that make the knock sensor code pop up due to the o2 being bad and making the motor run shi^^y?

Is it a vortec, CMPI? If it is then you spider injectors and your fuel nut kit are the things giving you problems, i had the same engine twice, Was it throwing an egr valve problem also? I might  be wrong on that, but when mine were running crappy that was my problem, and it threw up every code imaginable that wasn't the problem. Hope that helps.

In case it is easier to read in here, these are the 2 parts i am talking about.     "Nut kit":           "Spider injectors/ poppett injectors":         Hope that helps I have spent alot of money trying to fix that same problem to find out these are the 2 parts i needed to fix it.
